The Open Philanthropy Project awarded a grant of $700,000 to WildAid to support its campaign to support government efforts to reduce meat consumption in China. This grant falls within Open Philanthropy's work on farm animal welfare. 

WildAid is an environmental organization that focuses on animal welfare, with an emphasis on reducing the demand for wildlife products through public service announcements (PSAs) and educational initiatives. In addition to its work on wildlife welfare, WildAid is also focusing on reducing meat consumption in China. With this grant, WildAid plans to expand its PSA campaigns aimed at slowing the growth of meat consumption to four new major Chinese cities.
