Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $30,000 over five years to Adekunle Ajasin University to support a study on cryptosporidiosis, led by Dr. Oluwaremilekun Grace Ajakaye. Cryptosporidium is a microscopic, diarrhea-causing parasite that is common in developing countries. This grant will support a study of children in various regions of Nigeria in order to learn more about the current extent of the problem and inform future mitigation strategies.
