GiveWell considers a wide range of charitable programs and compares their costs and benefits to determine which provide the most impact for their cost. It publishes a list of “top charities” annually, including in-depth analysis of these charities’ impact, strengths and weaknesses. GiveWell also publishes overviews of existing research on major causes, interventions and other issues relevant to impactful giving.
