Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $525,000 over two years to the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) to support its work to develop and implement welfare standards for farmed aquatic animals, which will be incorporated into its sustainability certification program.
This follows Open Philanthropy’s March 2018 support for ASC’s work on fish welfare standards, and falls within its focus area of farm animal welfare, specifically within its interest in fish welfare.
