Award Date:
For general support.

The Open Philanthropy Project awarded a grant of $61,600 to the Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition (CCJRC) for general support. The CCJRC is a coalition that seeks alternatives to mass incarceration through methods such as advocacy, and research and design of policy reform.

This grant falls within the Open Philanthropy Project's work on criminal justice reform, and is intended to support two civic engagement campaigns around upcoming district attorney (DA) elections. One campaign aims to inform people with criminal records about their potential eligibility to vote; the second aims to raise awareness with voters about the role and influence of DAs, including by developing voter guides and hosting forums for candidates.
