Good Ventures, with input from GiveWell, awarded a grant of $2,642,300 to Evidence Action as part of GiveWell's Incubation Grants to support the development of potential future top charities and improve the quality of GiveWell's recommendations. This grant is intended to support Evidence Action in strengthening its operations.
Evidence Action is an organization that takes evidence-backed development interventions to scale, working to turn successful trials into sustainable large-scale organizations. It plans to use these funds to strengthen its financial systems, human resources, and information technology. In addition to supporting the development of programs that could be future top charities, we made this grant to support the Deworm the World Initiative, a program run by Evidence Action that is one of GiveWell's top charities.
