Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $176,000 over two years, via The Pollination Project, to support an international farm animal welfare fellowship program. The program aims to alleviate bottlenecks in the field of farm animal welfare by cultivating a network of talented individuals, exchanging knowledge and expertise, and linking participants to opportunities for future engagement. This funding is intended to enable the program to select a new class of fellows, support the community of alumni, hire a program coordinator, and fund select animal welfare projects.
This follows Open Philanthropy's November 2020 support and falls within its focus area of farm animal welfare.
