Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $100,000 to JusticeLA, via the Living Through Giving Foundation, for general support. JusticeLA intends to use this funding to maintain its operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, educate the public on the public health dangers posed by Los Angeles County incarceration facilities, and push for decarceration.
This follows Open Philanthropy's October 2017 support for Dignity and Power Now and falls within its focus area of criminal justice reform.
