Open Philanthropy recommended two grants totaling $315,500 over two years to Rethink Priorities to support research related to moral patienthood and moral weight. Open Philanthropy believes the research outputs may help it compare future opportunities within farm animal welfare, prioritize across causes, and update its assumptions informing its worldview diversification work.
This follows Open Philanthropy's January 2020 support and falls within its focus area of farm animal welfare.
