Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $285,000 to the University of Chicago to support the Existential Risk Laboratory (formerly known as the Chicago School of Existential Risk), which is a summer research fellowship for undergraduate and graduate students focused on reducing existential risks.
This follows Open Philanthropy’s June 2022 support and falls within its focus area of growing and empowering the EA community.
