Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $2,648,881 over three years to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab to support research led by Professor Kevin Esvelt on biosecurity, primarily focused on early detection of biosecurity threats.
This follows Open Philanthropy’s March 2021 support and falls within its focus area of biosecurity and pandemic preparedness.
