Learn about our structure and leadership.

Good Ventures comprises three separate corporations that make grants and/or investments in support of the mission of Good Ventures — to help humanity thrive:

  1. Good Ventures, a public charity created in 2011 as a supporting organization of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF);
  2. Good Ventures Foundation, a private foundation created in 2012;
  3. Good Ventures LLC, a for-profit impact investment firm created in 2012 which donates its net earnings to the Good Ventures Foundation.

While Good Ventures and the Good Ventures Foundation are governed by separate boards of directors, the two entities share research and resources.

This website is a joint presentation of these three corporations and the Open Philanthropy Project fund, an advised fund of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
